PARENTS:
During the peak summer school holiday period, from mid-July to the end of August, Ceredigion 's Beach Officer Lifeguard Service normally establishes patrolled bathing areas daily on the beaches marked:
Note that neighbouring Pembrokeshire also normally provides peak season Beach Officer Lifeguard services at Poppit, near Cardigan.
DOG OWNERS:
Ceredigion welcomes responsible pet owners. Every beach managed by the County Council provides areas where dog owners can enjoy the company of their pets. Full details of dog restrictions on beaches can be accessed on this page.

GREEN COAST AWARDS...
Developed and piloted in Wales - this award recognizes rural, unspoilt beaches with Blue Flag water quality, ensuring such beaches receive recognition without the need for inappropriate development which would spoil their natural beauty and risk damage to wildlife. In 2007, the following FIVE Ceredigion beaches were awarded Green Coast Awards:
